Cerrudo Services dismantled and removed building components associated with the demolition of two single story three bedroom duplexes at Quinault Village, Concord Housing, including carports, foundations, concrete walkways, exterior patios and driveways out to the street. Utilities including electrical, sewer, water and gas were disconnected and capped. Material samples suspected of containing asbestos and lead were collected and analyzed. Asbestos containing materials and flaking and peeling paint were removed from the buildings prior to demolition.
The buildings were demolished with an excavator with grapple and another with a metal shear. The demolition of roof, floors and exterior walls began at the top and proceeded downward. The smaller structures were pushed over by the excavator. A front end loader and end dump trucks were used to remove materials from the site. Aluminum, steel and concrete were salvaged; all other debris was disposed offsite at an authorized landfill.
