Cerrudo Services provided maintenance and repair services for the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base Area 22 and Area 24 iron and manganese removal plant. The plants were constructed to service ground water wells that provide drinking water to the entire military installation. Contract activities include preventive maintenance, inspection and service (PMIS) to insure a greater than 99% operating factor. Corrective maintenance includes the repair or replacement of parts and equipment that are outside of preventive maintenance work and requires 3-hour emergency response for repairs 24/7.

Specific routine maintenance actions occurred on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis depanding on the tasks. Tasks included maintenance of corrosion coatings, checking chemical tank containments for leaks, clean and calibrate on-line analyzers (chlorine, PH and turbidity), visually check pumps, tanks, valves and plant piping for leaks and rebuild chemical feed pumps and check systems.
